When my son and I launched Shield, we didn’t just set out to fix walls or stop damp creeping through bricks. We set out to build something bigger — a business rooted in honesty, care and a deep respect for people and their homes.

We’ve spent years in property development, and if there's one thing we’ve learned, it’s that a house is never just a building. It’s a safe space. A source of pride. A place filled with memories and meaning. That’s why we approach every job with mindfulness, not just attention to detail, but a real awareness of what that home means to the person living in it.

Of course, we know our stuff. With over 30 years of experience between us, we’re confident in the services we offer — from plastering and rendering to damp-proofing and preventative care. But it’s not just the technical side that matters to us. It’s how we do the work.

When we enter your home, we treat it like we’d want ours treated — with care, respect, and a mindset of doing things right, not just quickly. That’s mindfulness, to us: being present, listening to your concerns, and taking the time to do the job to a standard that we are proud of.
